Ward-Beck POD14A: Dual Analog-to-AES/EBU Digital Audio Converter - 75 & 110 Ohm
Product Description
POD14A is a dual AES/EBU analog to digital audio converter. This unit comes ready for use in both 75 and 110 Ohm installations. POD14A can generate digital audio signals at sampling rates of 32, 44.1, 48 and 96 kHz using its internal oscillator. Alternatively, the sampling rate of the digital output signals may be referenced to an external reference input.
Front panel controls and tallies include a momentary step switch and LED indicators to cycle through the internally generated sample rates from 32 to 96 kHz. Two LEDs indicate whether the external or internal reference is used. The external sampling rate reference signal has precedence over the internally generated signal. As soon as an external reference signal is detected, POD14A will automatically switch to it.
Connections to POD14A are made on the rear panel. Analog inputs are via 3-pin Phoenix pluggable connectors. Connections to the digital reference and two digital outputs may be made using the Phoenix 3-pin pluggable connectors for balanced 110 Ohm installations or BNCs for unbalanced 75 Ohm installations.
Level trim controls for the analog audio input signals are located adjacent to the analog audio input connections.
All PODS are supplied from the factory as stand-alone desktop POD-PACKAGES, unless a rackmount option is ordered. PODS in rack mount configurations may be ordered from the options above.
